Rubberific Mulch: How Rubber Mulch Can Last Longer

Mulch is known to make a gardener’s or landscaper’s job easier. You have to be knowledgeable about mulch like these people are before you go ahead and trying using one in your garden. There are basically two types of mulch; the organic and the non-organic. Among the kinds of non-organic mulch, rubberific mulch is what most gardeners and landscapers prefer to use.

Rubberific mulch is made out of rubber tires that are no longer in use. The rubbers are recycled which minimizes the dump in any house yard, and once you’re done using this kind of mulch, it can be recycled once more to become another product. The physical properties of rubberific mulch vary. It can come in its natural dark gray shade, almost black in color, or it can come painted and coated in a different color that will go better with your garden or playground. Rubberific mulch also comes in natural colors such as the cypress and cedar mulch, or blue and green which are the artificial ones. This type of mulch gives you a wide variety of colors to choose from that other types of mulch can not achieve.

The lifespan of a rubberific mulch’s coating is 10 years at least, after which, it will revert to its natural color which is almost black. Rubberific mulch could be great to use in gardens where people always visit since bugs and termites do not breed or nest in this type of mulch, thus eliminating the need for pesticides. However, although it has been proven to be safe for the plants, there are a lot of people who are not into using non-organic mulch as they believe otherwise.

Rubber mulch is five times heavier than other types of mulch which makes it more durable as it won’t be washed away easily by irrigation, rain, and the regular watering of plants. It is specifically used in areas where the terrain is inclined because it stays in place much better than wood mulch; a type of mulch often used in these same areas.

Another benefit of using rubberific mulch is weed control. Weeds can never grow on rubber, therefore the weeds would have to find a soil where they could grow. You can also use rubber mulch for playgrounds, as they last long and are safe to use.

Woah! I’m really digging the template/theme of this site. It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s tough to get that “perfect balance” between usability and visual appearance. I must say that you’ve done a fantastic job with this. Additionally, the blog loads extremely quick for me on Internet explorer. Outstanding Blog!
